Alone in an apartment during COVID lockdown time shifts and morphs into a barrage of reminiscences, places, and memories. An adaptation of a poem by C.P. Cavafy

“During Covid lockdown time shifts and morphs into a barrage of reminiscences, places, memories. Had been reading Cavafy in translation when this particular poem triggered a response. It intuitively caught the mood of my own isolation alone in my apartment. The footage was gathered from around my place with an old amateur video camera. It’s fitting that poetry (like film) in its selection of images, order and sounds can illicit feelings we often ignore in ourselves. Short films can illicit those multiple layers too and linger there like an echo.” – Raphael Bendahan
